Jose (Joe) Perez, founder
Frontline Support Solutions, LLC.

Joe is an experienced businessman and entrepreneur able to see opportunities where others see adversity. He has over 33 years of combined military and civilian leadership and business management experience. He has managed diverse organizations both overseas and in Texas ranging from a four-man strategic military operations team to a 68 employee contracting company. After leaving active duty in 1998, he rejoined his family business as a principal and managed the daily operations of the award-winning minority-owned and operated commercial landscape construction and maintenance company. In his executive level capacity, he was able to direct the growth of this small company from a low six-figure annual sales revenue to a multi-million dollar company. While managing operations of the company, the success and growth of the firm were recognized nationally by Hispanic Business Magazine as one of the 100 Fastest Growing Businesses in America in 2003.

In early 2010, Joe created Frontline Support Solutions; a Service Disabled Veteran Owned facility management and general contracting firm. He is taking the leadership and international experience he gained while serving in the Army and is combining it with what he has learned as a successful federal contractor. He’s creating job opportunities for a segment of our population that is inherently skilled and has the demonstrated ability to achieve the near impossible. He created this company as a vehicle to provide employment opportunities to fellow able and disabled veterans interested in federal contracting opportunities. His belief in these individuals’ capabilities is indefatigable. He knows that if properly taught to perform work in the diverse and demanding federal contracting arena they will succeed.

Joe has extensive experience performing on contracts ranging from one-time small micro-purchases to a $6,000,000 multi-year construction and service contract on the Port Authority of San Antonio, formerly known as Kelly AFB, TX. Joe is a hands-on manager that can quickly assess a situation and make appropriate decisions as necessary to provide his customers with the product they require.

Joe currently serves as a member of the Board of Directors (BOD) for the San Antonio Chamber of Commerce.  He also has served three previous year terms as a member of the Chairman’s Executive Committee.


Joe has attended various executive level business development courses at institutions such as University of Texas, Oklahoma State University, Dartmouth College, the USAF Special Operations School, and the Defense Intelligence Agency.  He frequently lectures at the University of Florida for the Veterans Entrepreneurship Program.

Joe is also a member of Entrepreneurs Organization and serves on the San Antonio Chapter Board of Directors. He attends Saints Peter and Paul Roman Catholic Church and lives in New Braunfels, TX with his wife Stacey and two of his five children.


Scott McKnight
Vice President of Operations

In March 2017, Scott McKnight joined the management team of Frontline Support Solutions as the Vice President of Operations.  He is responsible for providing contractual support services to both infrastructure projects for federal government agencies and local utility companies, as well as commercial entities in both the South Texas and North-East Regions of the United States. His primary responsibility is managing the day-to-day operations of a diverse service support and construction company as well as the principal advisor to the president.

Scott works to ensure strategic partner relationships are maintained. As he develops tools for measuring our service output and directs adjustments to our processes, he also works to translate the president’s business initiatives and plans to achieve the company’s long term goals.  He actively examines the company’s progress and development and also approves and implements policies that support the plans and vision of the company. Scott provides oversight of all the company operations, financials, human resources, and deliverables to both partners and clients.

Before joining Frontline Support Solutions, Scott worked for Science Applications International Corporation (SAIC) where he served in both Joint and Strategic level training and operations positions.  Scott proudly served over 21 years in the United States Army as a Field Artilleryman on Tactical, Operational and Joint level staffs.

Scott earned his Bachelors of Science in Management Studies from University of Maryland University College and a Master’s of Science in Management from Excelsior College in Albany, New York.

Scott is a devoted family man.  He has settled in San Antonio following his military retirement and he and his wife have one son. He believes in maintaining routines for self-development and continuing personal higher education.
